ELIGIBILITY NORMS(UG)
Applicable to those who have studied under a different system other than CBSE/ ICSE /State Board
Candidates should obtain preferably 'A' grade (or equivalent) in 'A' level examination or its equivalent. Students who have taken Advance Placement course will get preference. Candidates should have studied Biology, Physics and Chemistry in Grade 11 and Grade 12. These candidates should also get an Equivalence Certificate for pursuing professional courses in India. Applicable to those who have studied under State Board / CBSE / ICSE
MBBS: A pass in 10+2 (or) Higher Secondary Examination under CBSE/ICSE/State Board, or its equivalent in first attempt. In case of CBSE/ICSE candidates, the aggregate minimum marks required in Biology, Chemistry and Physics is 80% with a minimum of 75% in Biology and 60% each in Chemistry, Physics and English. In case of State Board candidates, the aggregate minimum required in Biology, Chemistry and Physics is 85% with a minimum of 80% in Biology and 60% each in Chemistry, Physics and English.
BDS: A pass in 10 +2 (or) Higher Secondary Examination under CBSE/ICSE/State Board, or its equivalent in first attempt. The aggregate minimum required in Biology, Chemistry and Physics is 70% with a minimum of 65% in Biology and 60% each in Chemistry, Physics and English.
B.Sc.Nursing / B.Pharm: A pass in 10 +2 /Higher Secondary in first attempt with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks in Biology, Chemistry and Physics with not less than 60% mark each in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics & English. For B.Pharm, in place of Biology, Biotechnology/Com.Science /Maths are also acceptable.
B.A.M.S: A pass in 10 +2/Higher Secondary Examination in first attempt with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks in Biology, Physics & Chemistry and with not less than 60% marks each in Biology, Physics Chemistry and English.
B.Sc.MRT: First class in 10+2 with Physics, Maths, Chemistry and Biology.
B.Sc. (Respiratory Therapy): A pass in 10+2/Higher Secondary in first attempt with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks in Chemistry, Physics, Biology / Natural Sciences and English with not less than 60% marks each in Chemistry, Physics, Biology / Natural Sciences and English.
Age limit for BAMS:Candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
Age limit for all other course:17 years to be completed but not to exceed 23 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
Admission Procedure:Admission to above courses is based on the performance in the Amrita Entrance examination being held every year in the April/May. All candidates, including NRI/PIO/Foreign Nationals should appear in the entrance examination.
B.Sc. (Optometry): Open for diploma holders only. Selection is based on academic score and performance in the personal interview.
Diploma in Dental Mechanics: A pass in 10+2/Higher Secondary with 60% marks in English and with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Selection will be based on the marks secured in qualifying examination and a personal interview.

ELIGIBILITY NORMS (PG)
MD: Candidate should have MBBS degree (Maximum three attempts) from a recognized medical college included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council, 1956 and have obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Council after completing compulsory rotating internship.
MS: Candidate should have MBBS degree (Maximum three attempts) from a recognized medical college included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council, 1956 and have obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Council after completing compulsory rotating internship.
MDS: Candidate should have passed the final BDS examination from a recognized university and have completed 12 months compulsory rotating internship programme (as prescribed and approved by Dental Council of India). Candidate must be registered with the state Dental Council/ Dental Council of India.
Pharm D-Post Baccalaureate (Doctor of Pharmacy):Candidate should have passed B.Pharm from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India/ B.S in pharmacy from Indian/Foreign institution/University with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
M.Sc.Nursing :B.Sc. Nursing or B.Sc. Hons. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum 60% aggregate marks from an institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
M.Pharm:A pass in B.Pharm from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks and not less than 55% in each subject from second to fourth year examination. Candidates with GATE score preferred.

SELECTION PROCESS
All candidates seeking admission to Amrita School of Business should appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIM in November, every year. Selection is based on the CAT score and performance in the personal interview. NRI candidates with a minimum score of 500 in GMAT will also be considered.
ELIGIBILITY NORMS (MBA - MS [Collaborative Masters Program]
Offered by Amrita University and State University of New York, University at Buffalo)
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA - MS programme is a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3 System) in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities with a minimum of 60% marks and with at least 50% marks in 10th, 12th examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board/University. Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor’s degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examination or viva-voce, if any. Such candidates will however have to fulfill the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect at the time of admission. Candidate with appropriate industry experience will have an added advantage for admission. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration. Admission Procedure for International Admissions
Step - 1
Candidate should register their names with the Directorate of Corporate and International Relations
Step - 2
Filling up the Registration Form: Fill up the registration form carefully without missing any detail. If the marks are not known or not available at the time of filling the registration form, please indicate "Results awaited" in the marks/grade column. The candidate is expected to send the marks to the university as soon as it is available to ascertain the eligibility. It may be noted that admission will be confirmed based on the candidate meeting the eligibility conditions stipulated by the university to such courses.
Step - 3
Submission of filled Registration Form: Send the filled in registration form along with a demand draft for US$ 300 in favour of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and copies of certificates / mark sheets (10th & 12th for UG courses and degree for PG courses) / work experience as applicable to, "The Director, Corporate and International Relations, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Ettimadai PO, Coimbatore, PIN - 641 105, Tamil Nadu, India".
Step - 4
Acknowledgement: On receipt of the completed registration form, an e - receipt for the Demand Draft along with course fee details, declaration form, an application form for admission and an entrance application form will be dispatched to them at the ‘Address for Communication’ mentioned in the registration form. Any non - receipt of the forms should be informed to the Director, Corporate and International Relations in writing, for further necessary action.
Step - 5
Submission of filled Application Form and Course Fee: Candidates should submit the completed application form and course fee. The filled application form, may be sent to the address mentioned in Step 3 above along with the following documents --
(a) Demand draft for course fee in USD in favour of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham
(b) Copy of the marks/grade sheet of the qualifying examination (as and when available)
(c) Copy of the Equivalence Certificate by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) (as applicable)
(d) Copy of the passport of the parent having NRI status
(e) Copy of the passport of the candidate (not applicable to NRI –S candidates)
(f) Completed declaration form
(g) Work experience certificate from current / previous employer (as applicable)
On receipt of completed application, the hall ticket for the Entrance Exam will be sent to the candidate from the respective departments.
Step - 6
Marks submission: Intimate marks of qualifying examination (as and when available) by e-mail/Fax. International students whose results are likely to be delayed can send predicted results from their respective school.
Step - 7
Provisional Admission : On satisfying all the eligibility requirements, in order to obtain the visa, a provisional admission letter will be e - mailed after the full tuition fees for the first year is received. This letter may be used by international students to apply for student visa, ticketing, insurance etc.
Step - 8
Submission of Original Documents: The following documents are to be submitted at the time of final admission at the respective institutions
(a) Original mark sheet/ certificate of the qualifying examination( +2)
(b) Translated versions of all documents, if they are not in English
(c) Passport with a valid student visa ( as applicable, not applicable to NRI-S candidates )
(d) Copy of PIO/OCI card of parents / candidate ( as applicable )
(e) Employer certificate of the parent sponsoring the candidate
(f) NRI status certificate of the parent sponsoring the candidate
(g) Equivalence Certificate by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi (AIU) (as applicable)
(h) Medical fitness certificate
(i) Executing an undertaking duly countersigned by Parent/ Guardian
(j) DD as applicable (At the time of admission you are required to pay, additional fees towards Hostel and Mess charges. These additional fees should be remitted only by bank draft in Indian Rupees. Only after the admission formalities are completed, students will be permitted to move into the allotted hostels)
(k) Amrita Entrance Hall Ticket/ Score Card of relevant exam (as applicable)
Step - 9
Medical Certification: International students will have to undergo a medical examination as per government rules which stipulate that all international students entering India on student visa have to be tested for HIV/others. Students will not be given admission if found positive (Refer UGC guidelines for admission of international students)
Step - 10
Security Registration: It is part of the normal mandatory process that within the stipulated time frame of arrival in India, an international student has to register his/her name with the local police in the Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO). This is not applicable to NRI and OCI students.
