Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University at Buffalo, NY Adjunct Faculty, Department of Computer Science, Amrita School of Engineering His teaching and research expertise centers around programming languages and software systems, Dynamic analysis and visualization in a state-of-the-art execution environment for Java, formal methods in software and safety-critical systems; identification, tracking, and retrieval in cyber-physical spaces based upon camera networks and biometric sensors.
DR.Keshavan is a PhD from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Dr Keshavan has over 11 years’ experience as both a software engineer and a hardware architect in leading industries. He has served in both technical and management positions. He currently works in the strategic planning team at Samsung in Texas. In the past, he served as a chief engineer at Samsung. Dr Keshavan also worked with Hewlett-Packard India Software Operations & ZenIQ.
Ms. Radhika has over 15 years of experience working in the areas of networking, storage, and cloud security in both large tech companies as well as start-ups. She currently works in the cloud security data team at McAfee. With expertise in Java programming and Web development technologies, she also has a strong understanding of Object-Oriented design, data structures and design patterns. In the past, she has worked with Cisco for over 9 years as senior software engineer.
PhD from the University of Tokyo, Japan; Postdoc from NUS Singapore; Research into VLSI, Python for Data Analytics Ratna received her PhD from the University of Tokyo, Japan and was a post-doctoral research fellow at National University of Singapore. She has 14+ years of experience – working as a teaching faculty, researcher and technical management positions. Her interest areas are: VLSI Systems, GPU and Python for Data Analytics. She currently works as a GPU Program Manager at Samsung
Dr Georg Gutjahr is an Assistant Professor at Amrita. He has a B.S. in Data Engineering and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Vienna, Austria.His Research is focused on Data Science with a focus on Health Analytics. Research areas include adaptive designs, multiple testing, and numerical methods in statistics.Prior to joining Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, he was a postdoc for 6 years at the University of Bremen, Germany.
Dr. Subhari Duttagupta received her M. Tech. degree in Parallel computing and then received a doctoral degree in sensor networks, both from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. Prior to that, she worked as a senior scientist in TCS Research Labs, Mumbai in performance engineering.Her areas of research include Performance Evaluation And Modelling Of Systems And Networks, Distributed Systems, Real-Life Applications Using Sensor Networks And Analysing IoT Applications, Performance Engineering & Modelling and Simulation.
Dr Swaminathan is an Asst. Professor, Computer Science Engineering, Amrita University.Dr Swaminathan has about 22 years of experience, 11 years of which are in the IT industry and 11 in teaching.His research interests include Program Analytics, Formal Methods and Software Visualization. He mentors students for Coding competitions including ACM ICPC.
Mr Sreevalsan has more than 35 years of experience in the IT field with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. He is Heading the Cisco Networking Academy at the University and is the Academy Support Expert for Cisco Networking Academies in India. He is a Member of the- Global Advisory Committee – Cisco Networking Academy 2020-21.
Ms. Kohila is a Sr. Academy Instructor, CISCO Networking Academy with more than 10 years of experience in CCNA training. She handles CCNA training sessions for professors & Industry people. She has been awarded Best Instructor- by the Cisco Academy for 5 Consecutive years. She is also the first instructor in India to be qualified in the Instructor Trainer qualification process in India.
Dr. Vivek Menon currently serves as an Associate Professor of Computer Science & Engineering. He has over 20 years of teaching and research experience.His ongoing collaborative research focuses on smart environments with SUNY at Buffalo has featured in prestigious international journals. He is a recipient of the prestigious ‘Fast Track Young Scientist Scheme’ in Engineering Sciences, awarded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).
Dr. Sandhya has an M. Tech. in Computer Science from IIT Delhi and Ph.D from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. She currently serves as a Senior grade Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri. She has 19+ years of experience, with 16+ years in academics and 3 years in the corporate world at Reliance Industries. Her teaching and research expertise centers around AI technologies that includes Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics and Database Management Systems.
Dr Manjusha Nair is an Asst. Professor (Sr Grade) of Computer Science Engineering at Amrita University. She has over 18 years of academic experience in teaching & research. Her research interests include Computational Neuroscience, Bioinformatics, Simulation and Modeling, Information Theory, Parallel Programming & Constraint Object Modeling.

The Online MCA programme is a 2-year programme. You, as a learner can either complete it within the stipulated time frame of 2 years or you can complete it within a maximum allowed duration of 4 years.
For working professionals, we have built tremendous flexibility in the program allowing up to 4 years to earn your degree, allowing for self-paced, anytime learning.
01) Reading materials and video lectures will be uploaded into our learning management system
02) Every week, there will be a live interactive session with faculty to clear doubts and they will also be recorded and posted
03) There will also be a discussion forum to encourage peer learning. Faculty and teaching assistants will also participate in these discussion forums and help with the overall learning experience. Practice quizzes will be given every week so that you are continuously preparing for exams.
Each course will be in 4 quadrants, fully following the UGC guidelines.
1) Quadrant-I is e-Tutorial; which shall contain: Video and Audio Content in an organized form, Animation, Virtual Labs, etc, along with the transcription of the video.
2) Quadrant-II is e-Content; which shall contain; self-instructional material (digital Self Learning Material), e-Books, case studies, presentations etc, and also contain Web Resources such as further references, Related Links etc.
3) Quadrant-III is the Discussion forum for raising of doubts and clarifying the same by the Course Coordinator
4) Quadrant-IV is Assessment, which shall contain; Problems and Solutions, which could be in the form of Multiple Choice Questions, Fill in the blanks, Matching Questions, Short Answer Questions, Long Answer Questions, Quizzes, Assignments and solutions.
Yes. As per the UGC regulations, Online degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate level shall be treated as equivalent to the corresponding awards of the degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate level offered through conventional mode. The following things will be mentioned on the backside of the degree and mark sheets – Mode of delivery; Date of admission; Date of completion.
Yes, every week, for every course, there will be a live doubt clearing session with the faculty, typically for about an hour. These sessions will also be recorded and available for watching later.
In order to accommodate working professionals, these sessions will be held on weekends or after working hours.
Examinations are conducted as per the new regulations through the Online Technology Enabled Proctored mode.
