
Anish Kumar S of BCA I Sem has been featured in “Thought Leaders of Tomorrow” in “The Week” dated July 17th, 2011 in recognition of his work on Waste Water Management under the title “Washing Machine- Waste Water Flush. He has won a cash prize of 3 lakh.
Students participated in the Inter Campus Tournament organized by Amrita University Ettimadai on 16th, 17th and 18th Sept 2011 and won prizes.
Nithyananda and Suhas of III Sem MCA were selected for Amrita University Cricket Team during the Cricket Selection held at Ettimadai on 5th, 6th & 7th Nov 2011.

20 students participated in the Audition Round held at Ettimadai on Nov. 5th 2011, for selection to South Zone, Youth Fest in events like Classical Solo, Light music, Dance, One- Act Play, Skit and Mime.
Pranav Mohan (BBM V Sem), Vishnu E Divakaran (MCA I Sem), Aneesh V (MCA I Sem), Sreejith R (MCA I Sem), Mahesh Babu (M.Sc I Sem), Giridharnath (BBM V Sem) were selected in Skit to represent Amrita University at the South Zone Festival held from 18th to 22nd Dec at Sathyabhama University, Chennai.
Students participated & and won prizes in various events held at Sreedevi Institute of Technology, Mangalore, Anjuman Institute, Bhatkal and NMAMIT, Nitte.
Gilson P.J & Rakesh K of M.C.A IV Semester won 1st place in Debugging, at MEDHA National level IT Fest, conducted by Sreedevi Institute of Technology, Mangalore and at SEMAPHORE – 2011, South India Zonal level IT Fest, conducted by NMAMIT, Nitte.
Amulya Bharadwaj & Bhavana Ganapathy of B.B.M VI Semester, won 1st place in Corp War & Sharat Prasad of B.B.M VI Semester secured 1St place in Brain Teasers, held at Anjuman Degree college and P.G. Centre, Bhatkal, apart from the consolation and appreciation prizes won in events like Best Manager, Photography, Marketing, Paper Presentation, Gaming & Treasure Hunt.
Marina Mathew and Nandini S presented a paper on Classification of MRIs of Brain, Using Machine Learning Methods and secured II best Research Paper Award, under the guidance of Mrs Sandhya Joshi.
BBM students bagged the Overall Championship Trophy at the Management Fest Cognizance ’11 conducted by Mahajana College, Mysore on 8th and 9th of April 2011, with the following prizes

Additional Training : 34 students of MCA V sem attended and successfully completed 17 day training camp conducted by Accenture at Amritapuri. P Manu Prakash, Sreejith Panicker and K Gokul of VI Sem MCA won the Runners Up prize in Raja Ramanna Memorial Quiz Competition held at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mysore.
