My dear Amrita Student-to-be of 2009,
India is poised to become a great economic power within a decade. When the economy is on a roll, we manage growth. When the brakes get applied, we change gears to manage constraints. Boom or recession, the demand for talented management graduates will always be on.
To meet this demand, the supply side has also caught up, with many good B-Schools coming up in the last decade and establishing themselves in general and niche management areas. India today boasts of at least 50 quality B-Schools outside the realms of the IIMs. Amrita School of Business holds its position at rank no. 23 [Outlook Survey Sept 2007] amongst these top private B-Schools in India.
Our laurels rest on 4 time-tested pillars - Stringent Admissions criteria, World Class Faculty, State-Of- The-Art Infrastructure and 100% Corporate Acceptance. Amrita gains its credibility by going for rigid admissions norms with CAT [GMAT for NRIs] as the only admission plank. We derive our strength from an 18 member strong permanent faculty body with a cumulative experience of 360 man-years in academics and industry. Amrita puts substantial focus on augmenting and sustaining top class infrastructure - our IT hubs, libraries, sports facilities and single room hostels stand testimony to this 3600 thrust. Finally we script our success by gaining 100% corporate acceptance-our placement records an average CTC of 5.0 lakhs plus last year.
Amrita’s students come from diverse academic backgrounds with a significant percentage of them having prior work experience to their credit. Along with academic diversity, our pan India selection process ensures a rich geographic diversity also. There is hardly a corner in India which goes unrepresented at ASB’s classrooms.
The school which started in 1996 has so far graduated and placed 11 batches of MBAs. The 12th and 13th batches are currently going through their academic rigor in campus. As Chair Admissions of the school, it is my privilege to call for applications for our 14th batch.
