Recipient of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship for 12 consecutive months to pursue advanced research at National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo under the auspices of the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme for Foreign Researchers. Has qualified the National Educational Test (NET) for Lectureship in Economics conducted by University Grant Commission, New Delhi. Publications in scholarly international journals, such as the Annals of Operations Research, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Applied Economics and Econometrics, International Journal of Operations Research, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Systems Science, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, and Opsearch. Article titled ‘Evaluating Cost-Efficiency and Returns to Scale in the Life Insurance Corporation of India using Data Envelopment Analysis’ published in Socio- Economic Planning Sciences has been listed as the top article in top 25 Hottest articles by Science Direct in the Subject Area: ‘Business Management and Accounting’. Coauthored a book entitled “Efficiency Models in Data Envelopment Analysis: Techniques of Evaluation of Productivity of Firms in a Growing Economy” with Jati K. Sengupta published by Palgrave Macmillan, U.K. in October 2006. Served as a reviewer for international journals such as Annals of Operations Research, Asia-Pacific Journal of Operational Research, European Journal of Operational Research, Omega: The International Journal of Management Science, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, and Energy Economics. Currently working on research projects in the field of production frontier analysis with Jati K. Sengupta (University of California, Santa Barbara, USA), Kaoru Tone (GRIPS, Tokyo, Japan), Kristiaan Kerstens (Université Catholique de Lille, France) and Diego Prior (Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain)
