Jagriti means Awakening- awakening to life. Living in a world of cut-throat competition, assignments and deadlines, one tends to lose oneself. The unlimited potential of the human being is wasted in this rush towards fulfilling the requirements of such a life. Jagriti embodies the humble efforts of ASB students towards arresting this slide.
We at Amrita believe in wholesome and holistic education. We believe that to enjoy ones life to the fullest, one should be able to realize what they are and what they are capable of –Self Awareness. Jagriti forum works to help the students strike a balance between the demands of the business world and their human side. Jagriti takes upon itself the responsibility to help the students realize their real potential, to go beyond the limitations imposed by the curriculum, to exercise the power of thought, to lead them towards self-awareness and personal growth.
Activities:
Jagriti forum is active throughout the year, conducting colloquia, lectures and workshops by eminent persons, whose experience helps students to develop a whole new perspective towards life. Jagriti also arranges recreational trips to places of cultural and historical importance.
Jagriti arranges quizzes, talent shows, painting and poetry competitions etc. providing an avenue for students where they can be just “themselves”.
PRAGATI 2006
Pragati, the annual B-schools fest at Amrita School of Business, forms the most important event at ASB. Students from B-schools all over India participate in the various business games and competitions conducted by the different forums. Jagriti forum conducts the BIZ QUIZ-the business quiz which brings the best talents head to head.
True to its stated objectives, Jagriti also takes the responsibility of keeping the participants in the best frame of mind. Jagriti organizes various stress-relief games, cultural shows, movie shows etc. which give all the participants a platform for unlimited fun and enjoyment.
