 A famous film actress & a director visited our campus the other day. I am talking about Revathi. Yes, we had the opportunity of seeing her in life and to add to it we got to hear from her too. The talk gave us a glimpse of the beautiful person inside of what India knows as Revathi.
When I look back on what she said, the two things she really wanted to communicate was that every person should try to live his or her dream and the power one has in their mind. I could see that she spoke of these from her own experience and this made it all the more enriching as not many of us would be able to experience the life she led. She said that it might be possible that some dreams don’t get fulfilled when we want them to, but if the longing is strong, then things eventually do work out. So what she wanted to emphasize was, that to the extent possible one should try to live every dream one might have. She said that she might be nearing her 40’s but that didn’t deter her from living her dreams. The next day we got the news that she actually sky dived after a month long training session. So she did live another of her dreams.
Another thing that comes to my mind was the importance she associated with passion in everything one did. She said that it makes a great difference where even the most boring things seem interesting. She talked about the conflict one might have between duties & dreams but said that things might get postponed but its better late than never so one should never kill a dream.
So this dream visit of Revathi to our campus ended on this dreamy note with all of us trying to pull up those dreams that we had shelved for years. Yes friends ‘Sweet Dreams’.
