UTSAV 2009
Clash of the Titans
The legacy of ASB has always been to organize one of the most exemplary events such as UTSAV ’09 – a talent extravaganza, organized for and by the ASBian’s.
UTSAV 2009 brings out the courage, spirit and the discipline of battle grounds. The four houses Kurukshetra, Kalinga, Vitasta and Jhansi reflect the milestones in our rich history. Each battle field bears a testimonial to the age old rules of a fair fight, in which each warrior fights not only for personal glory but also for the righteous cause he fights for.
In the midst of our academic schedule, assignments, projects etc. Utsav rejuvenates each student by taking them to a new world (world of talents).
The UTSAV committee, of eight members (headed by a President) from the first year, offered exciting games and events and showcased the talents in each one of them. Weeks progressed, so too did the enthusiasm, excitement of the competition. The battle became more intense and everyone put forth their best effort. A healthy team spirit was witnessed amongst all members of each team.
After fifty odd battles for about ten days the festival culminated with a valedictory function that comprised of prize distribution, special performances by some students and screening the highlights of UTSAV ’09. The support offered by ASB’s management was vital and encouraging for the core committee to hold the event and make it a success. It gave all of us an immense pleasure when our Dean Dr. Sanjay Banerji addressed us with the message “Instead of having Utsav as an annual event we could have many small Utsav’s - like once in a month”.
UTSAV ‘09 achieved its purpose of bringing about joy, unity, teamwork and comradely. Though Utsav ’09 has got over, memories stay forever...
