AURA

The name of the department association is “Consortium of Instrumentation and Communication Engineers” (CISCOE). AURA is a brand of ECE association, conducted every year in the month of February. Also the association organizes guest lectures from experts both academic and non-academic, quiz and other related activities.

Locked O’puzzy:
This innovative game checks situational stress handling and problem solving ability of participants.

Live and Let Die:
A big hit among CISCOEans (Consortium of Instrumentation and Communication Engineers), it is a heaven for every virtual reality fan and their ability to put forth skills for their own good.

Try Another Way:
Innovativeness,creativity is the order of the event where participants are required to come up with public personalities donning different hats.

Noonfaker:
Another big hit among CISCOans that focuses on creative giant among the students of Amrita.Participants are required to design a newspaper whose theme may vary from global issues to fiction.

Golden Eye:
Appealing to visionaries inside the crowd is the “Golden Eye” where dynamic ideas on the future on our alma matter is discussed.

Blunderball:
Ignoble prizes in Amrita style.A food for thought for every creative intellectual ideas.Studies and research on insane topics is the call of the event.

Quizzino Royal:
A must for every trivia buff in Amrita, the ultimate Aura Quiz Challenge is the most awaited event.

Never Say Never Again:
Technocrats and Marketeers are what today the B-World loves. Aura gives exactly this high adrenaline pumping marketing event see technocrats donning the management hat.

BoldThinker &The Swank is Not Enough:
When techncrats meet with their creative glasses on, what emanates is amazing mementoes of their creativity. Poster designing contest of first order along with highly sensitive take on sensitive issues of Modern India witnesses participation in huge frenzy.

Course Conducted
A Summer school in VLSI CAD was organized during April–May 2005 for the fourth semester students of B. tech (CSE and IT). The course covered Verilog, Magic, IUS in Cadence, Synthesis in Magma, Modelsim and Leonardo Spectrum.

Faculty development programme on PIC Microcontroller was conducted during the last week of December 2006.

ISTE sponsored workshop on Digital Signal Processing and applications was conducted during the last week of November 2004.

IETE sponsored student project contest and seminar on Security in wireless networks was conducted in March 2006.

Forthcoming events
TCS sponsored national workshop on Digital Signal Processing will be conducted during 28 to 30 March 2007

An international conference on Digital Signal Processing & VLSI in Wireless communication will be conducted during 18 to 20 December 2007.
