Department of Mechanical Engineering is organized a faculty development program on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC ) for staff members (Both teaching & Non-Teaching) from 8-10-2004.Dr. T. R. Padmanabhan, Dean - Engineering, will conduct the course work. Dr. K. Mohandas and Mr. V. Sugumaran will coordinate the program







Department of Mechanical Engineering and Center for Excellence in Computational Engineering and Networking jointly organized a three week short term part-time course on Matlab. About 50 students and 20 staff members attended the program. Dr. K.I. Ramachandran (CEN) was the key resource person. Dr. K. Mohandas (Chaiman -Mech) and Mr. V. Sugumaran (Mech) were the coordinators.

Dr. K. I. Ramachandran (CEN) and Dr. K. Mohandas (Chairman-Mech) were the coordinators and Mr. V. Sugumaran (Mech) & Mr. Sivaramsubramanian (EEE) were the resource persons.

Sustainable Developments through Green Manufacturing, a two week Short term training programme sponsored by AICTE-ISTE. The Workshop was to create awareness to environment friendly manufacturing among faculty member of Engineering colleges national wide.

Department of Mechanical Engineering and CEN jointly organized a two-week certificate training program on LabVIEW Basics from 7th to 19th of February, 2005. Mr. Jagannathan, Lecturer (Mech) and Mr S. P. Anbuudayasankar, Senior Lecturer (Mech)coordinated the program. (EEE) and Mr. V. Sugumaran (Mech) were the resource persons. About 30 students and 5 staff members attended the program.

World Class Manufacturing, A National Conference was jointly organized by Mechanical & production Engineering departments. Experts and researchers from all over the Nation presented many Technical papers.
