The department has initiated the following funded research projects under different thrust areas. DRDO sponsored research on Development of a method to control Ultraviolet Radiation in welding Processes Autonomous mobile robots based on bio-inspired artificial control under the Indo- Italian program of cooperation in science & technology Colorado University - Amrita joint research initiative on Solar Photo Voltaic Based Low Cost LED Lighting System Design.
