PROJECTS


1) VillageResourceCenter(VRC) Project is a multifaceted project involving public (ISRO), private (AMRITA) and corporate (MNCs such as Microsoft, Intel, Cisco, Oracle, TCS, HP, Cognizant) partners having the interest to uplift the rural India by taking Information to their door-step. At the same time the project takes an open look at the technology deployment strategies, new research areas and innovative development methods.

Three projects have been completed which contribute a lot to the development of the VRC project.

          >> MIDS (Medical Information Dissemination System over Hybrid Satellite Network)

          >> VIDS (Visual Information Dissemination using Iconized Concept Trees )

          >> AMUE (Authentication of Mobile user in Multi-User Environment) 

2) HP sponsored project titled "Stylus tracking System".

3) HP sponsored project titled "Document Authentication using 2D bar codes".

4) ISRO sponsored project titled "Video Summarization for Content Based Video Retrieval".
