Executive Summary

AICM is a desktop based online virtual classroom platform simulating the typical classroom interaction with a complete set of features for interactive learning bringing together two way video/audio and data. AICM allows students and teachers to meet online for interactive and real time lectures. AICM uses the popular open source software VideoLAN (VLC) for video streaming which is capable of handling different video / audio formats which makes AICM cost effective compared to the proprietary video conferencing solutions available in the market. 

Highly scalable video conferencing solution with no limitations in the number of participants.
Video conferencing from simple point-to-point non-formal communications to multiple participants in different locations delivering formal presentations and/or collaborative efforts.
Less bandwidth requirements by the usage of efficient compression algorithms like MPEG version 4.0.
Automatic video conferencing activation at the client end.
Video call queue with capabilities of tracking the video call requests from remote ends with facility for selective activation and termination of video streaming for effective bandwidth utilization.
Provide the capability to capture, store, and manage archives of video conference(s) for on-demand search, retrieval and playback.
Wide range of collaboration tools for effective teaching including
