A two-week ISTE workshop on database management systems organized by IIT Bombay will be hosted at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore.
Lectures given by IIT faculty will be transmitted to select remote centers including Amrita using AVIEW technology. Tutorial and lab sessions will be conducted at Amrita.
AVIEW is the e-learning platform developed by Amrita and adopted by the Government of India to promote e-learning in the nation.
International CME and Workshop on Uro-Oncology
May 24-26, 2013 Venue : Health Sciences Campus
Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences will be organizing an international CME and workshop on uro-oncology in association with Urology Association of Kerala and Kochi Urology Club.
The conference will discuss important and controversial issues in Carcinoma and of prostate, bladder and kidney.
The participants will be pleased with a symposium on clinical scenarios by expert and eminent medical radiation and surgical oncology specialists.
Amrita Ayurveda Entrance Examination

Amrita School of Ayurveda will be conducting its all India entrance examination for admission to the five and half year BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) degree program.
The examination will be conducted in seven centers of Southern India.
Workshop on Multibody Dynamics Simulation and Analysis

Department of Mechanical Engineering will be organizing a workshop on Multibody Dynamics Simulation and Analysis.
The workshop offers training on design, study of motion and simulation of complex mechanical systems with large number of moving machine parts.
Gitamritam Camp
June 2-8, 2013 Venue : Coimbatore Campus
Coimbatore campus will be organizing a seven day Bhagavad Gita camp, Gitamritam.
The main purpose of the camp is to make the youth aware about the glory of Gita and the necessity and relevance of its message in our lives.
The camp will involve diverse activities including Gita classes, chanting, meditation and yoga, music, photography, cooking, swimming, and discussions.

Workshop on Case Writing
June 7, 2013 Venue : Kochi Campus
Amrita School of Business, Kochi is proud to announce a one-day workshop focused on case development and writing.
Case writing is a process that begins with the decision to use a case and ends with the use if case in class. Identifying a real life, thought provoking case that can be used in a classroom for discussion is a challenge.
The workshop will see hands on training on fundamentals of case development and writing. The idea is also to provide the participants with necessary tools to write cases in the Indian business context and inspire them to use more cases for teaching.

Department of Chemical Engineering & Materials Science of Amrita School of Engineering and Center of Excellence in Advanced Materials & Green Technologies will be jointly organizing a faculty development workshop on Chemical Process Modeling & Simulation and hands-on training.
The workshop aims at providing a systematic introduction to process modeling and simulation, including the use of state-of-the-art software such as ASPEN Process Engineering for process simulation.

IEEE Symposium on Education, Technology and Entrepreneurship
July 28, 2013 Venue : Amritapuri Campus
Amritapuri campus will host a symposium, sponsored by IEEE, on education, technology and entrepreneurship this year.
The event will witness the presence of many eminent personalities, viz. Dr. Mohan Rajesh Elara, Singapore University of Technology & Design, Mr. Vysakh Pillai, CISCO.
The symposium will see expert talks, distinguished lecture program, technical and entrepreneurial workshops. A career guidance program for Amrita Vidyalayam higher secondary school students will also take place during the symposium. Amrita Student Chapter societies will also conduct events as part of the symposium.

International Conference on Distributed Computing and Networking
January 4-7, 2014 Venue : Coimbatore Campus
Department of Computer Science and Engineering will be hosting the fifteenth international conference on distributed computing and networking, ICDCN 2014.
The conference aims to address the advances in distributed computing and communication networks.
As part of the event a PhD. forum will be organized to encourage promising graduate students to display their research in the presence of panel of internationally acclaimed scientists, and industrial leaders.
