Amrita School of Business

Amrita School of Business (ASB) is a constituent school of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a University headquartered at Coimbatore with four satellite campuses located at Amritapuri (Kollam), Kochi, Bangalore and Mysore.

The School has academic collaboration arrangements with the State University of New York, at Buffalo (UB) and is a member of the European Union, Erasmus Mundas exchange programme for students and scholars. Around 50 UG and PG students and 10 faculty members have already taken part in the programme.

Engineering

Social Work

Amrita department of Social Work aims at developing students, to evolve themselves to a new individually committed level and transform the society in which they live.

The department invites applications for faculty positions at Amritapuri campus. The minimum qualification required is a post graduate degree with first class or equivalent, preferably in Social Work / Development Studies / Disaster Management / Public Health / Economics / Sociology.

Center for Wireless Networks and Applications

Known for its successful completion of the Indo-European WINSOC Project, this Center is recognized worldwide today for its deployment of the first-ever wireless sensor network system for predicting landslides.

The center invites applications from faculty who are also interested in assisting the Center's ongoing research activities. Candidates with PhDs in the following areas are preferred.

1. Computer Science:- Preferred areas of research include Wireless Communication, Wireless Networks, Wireless Sensor Networks, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Image Processing.

2. Electronics or Electrical Engineering:- Preferred areas of research include Signal Processing, Wireless Communication, Embedded Systems.

3. Mathematics:- Preferred areas of research include Queueing Models, Probability, Graph Theory, Stochastic Processes.

The Center is also looking for Research/Project Associates. Candidates with Btech (Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Information Technology), MCA and MBA may apply.

Health Sciences

Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (AIMS) is a 1200 bedded tertiary referral university teaching hospital located in Cochin city, Kerala overlooking the picturesque Chittoorpuzha lake in Southern India. It was established in 1998. The health care campus has now come to have the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy.

We are a National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Grade "A" accredited institution. The University, with its outstanding infrastructure and state-of-the-art technology has established a research institute measuring more than 30,000 sq.ft at this health care campus. The initiative is actively supported by the Government of India.

a. Nanosciences

Funded research programs in nanobiosciences such as in cancer nanotechnology, nanotoxicology, nanomedicine and nanotechnology in regenerative medicine are ongoing at this Center. We are seeking faculty candidates with a biology specialization who wish to explore nanotechnology applications in the existing research areas and in nanoimmunology and nano-diagnostics involving the use of nanomaterials for novel biomedical applications. Positions are permanent tenure-track positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
