Amrita students participating in a technical debugging contest conducted by
Sun Microsystems "Code for Freedom" (http://codeforfreedom.in) over the past few months have won
prizes in all the 4 categories open for competition. The details are

The contest was open to Universities throughout India and Amrita has come on
top. Among the total 179 bugs fixed from across India, 105 fixes were from
Amrita.
In the Grand Prize category, Amrita Students Avinash Joshi and Rishi M Nair have won the
prizes. They will receive an Acer laptop from Sun.
In the significant contributor category, 16 of the total 26 prize winners
are from Amrita. Each winner will receive an I Pod.
The students will receive their prizes in an international conference on
Open Source technologies scheduled from Feb 27- 29 in Hyderabad. |
