Selection to the B.Tech programme is based on the rank scored in AEEE 2021 / JEE Mains 2021 / SAT Score/ PUEE Score. If JEE Mains is conducted multiple times, all the scores released prior to the Amrita B.Tech. CSAP (Centralised Seat Allotment Process) will be looked into and the best result considered. 

Important Note: An applicant can participate in CSAP with any of the above rank/score. Most preferred branch opted by the candidate is allotted according to the rank / score. For example, if an applicant’s first preference is Computer & Communication Engineering at Chennai campus, the seat allotment process will check if this first preference can be allotted with any of the PUEE Score /JEE Mains score/AEEE rank.

Exam Pattern

    AEEE 2021 will be conducted in online mode with Remote Proctoring & in Computer Based Test mode at selected cities. The test will be of 90 minutes duration with 60 questions.
    AEEE will be conducted in three phases in the month of April, May & June 2021. Candidate can attend the exam in any one of the phases ie, either in April / May / June

  2. Any negative marks for wrong answer?

    Yes. -1 (negative one) for each wrong answer and 3 marks for each correct answer.

Cutoff Marks 

  1. What are the cutoff marks for getting a seat?

    There is no cutoff, admission to B. Tech programs in Amrita are based on score secured in either JEE/SAT/PUEE/rank secured in AEEE

Seat Availability 

  1. How much should I score for getting a seat in CS in Coimbatore/Amritapuri ?

    It is not possible for us to predict a minimum rank requirement for admissions into various campuses of Amrita School of Engineering. Ranks keep varying year on year.

  2. How many seats are available for each branch in each campus? 

    Each campus will have minimum batch of 60 in each branch.

  3. While allotting the seat, which rank will be considered? I have applied through AEEE as well as PUEE.

    An applicant can participate in CSAP with any of the rank/score of PUEE Score /JEE Mains score/SAT Score/AEEE rank. Most preferred branch opted by the candidate is allotted according to the rank / score.     No, you don’t need to apply separately.

  1. I didn’t get the results of my +2. Can I upload it later? Is there any specific date for updating the marks on the portal?

    You have to update and upload the marklist after the result publication. Candidates will receive the notification to their registered mobile and Email. 

  2. From where can we get the Syllabus for AEEE?

  3. Do we have to book the slots for exam? Then how can we know about the dates? Will email / SMS will be sent in this regard to our registered mobile number & email id? 

    Slot booking details will be intimated to the applicants through EMAIL and SMS. It will also be published on our website.

  4. Can we change the date & time once we booked the slot for exam?

    No.

  5. From the website it is came to know that the exam will be conducted in three phases. If I booked the slot for the exam on May 2021 and due to some issues, I could not attend the exam on that date. Can I again book the slot for June to write the exam or University will allot me another date & slot?

    Yes. They can try next phase.

  6. I have applied through AEEE only and I got the rank also. Now I want to apply through SAT & PUEE. Is this possible? If possible, what will be the amount I have to pay as application fee?

    Yes, it is possible. You need to pay 200 .

    There is no cut off marks. Admissions are based on the scores secured in either Amrita Entrance Exam (AEEE) 2021/JEE 2021/SAT or PUEE. It depends on number of applicants applied to each campus.

  2. What is SAT?

    SAT –Scholastic Aptitude Test conducted by College Board is a standardized test used for admission which in-tended to assess students’ college readiness and used by more than 6000 Universities across the globe and over 30 Universities in India. Mathematics and Critical reading and writing skill is tested.
    Administered Five times a year in India, in the months of March, May, August, October and December. Students can take SAT multiple times and have a chance to improve their scores

PUEE

  1. What is PUEE?Pearson UG Entrance Examination

    The Pearson Undergraduate Entrance Exam is the gold standard in common entrance admissions tests, measuring verbal, reading, and abstract reasoning skills through multiple choice questions. Pearson VUE designed the two-hour computer-based test for universities in India to assess candidates for admission and enrollment into undergraduate programmes.
    The exam will be administered in multiple cities across India from January through June 2021. Basic computer knowledge is helpful for this computer-based exam.

Remote Proctored Exam

  1. While attending exam via RPE, do we have to keep any ID proof with us?

    Yes, candidates have to submit their Aadhar.

  2. If power goes off in between exam, can we get another chance to write the exam. How will we get intimation regarding this?

    Yes, Candidates will get another chance to write the exam. Candidates have to drop an email to btech@amrita.edu Will intimate you through SMS and Email.

  3. Can I attend the test from my home through mobile?

    No, mobile phones and tab are not permitted. Remote Proctored Examination can be attended from home on a laptop/PC with good internet connectivity. It is important to have a webcam connected to the computer. The examination will be proctored remotely by the university staff.

  1. Are there any scholarships based on Caste?

    No. there is no caste-based scholarship.

    No, you don't have to create a separate application for AEEE.. You can re-login using the same registered login credentials that you have used for the earlier application ie, JEE mode and select the AEEE mode in the Step 2 and by paying Rs. 1000/- you can proceed.

Registration for AEEE 2021 is fully online. Candidates are required to have their recent photograph, online payment credentials, etc. to be ready to complete the online application process.

 

Conduct of AEEE 2021 

AEEE 2021 will be conducted in online mode with Remote Proctoring & in Computer Based Test mode at selected cities. The test will be of 90 minutes duration with 60 questions.

Question Distribution & Duration 

  • All the questions are of Multiple-Choice type and will have four answers of equal weightage. 3(three) marks are awarded for each correct answer and minus 1(negative 1) for each wrong answer.

  • Physics: 15; Chemistry: 10; Mathematics: 30 ; English 5
  • Duration: 90 minutes (1.5 hours)

Remote Proctored Examination(Secured) 

Remote Proctored Examination can be attended from home on a laptop/PC with good internet connectivity. It is important to have a webcam connected to the computer. The examination will be proctored remotely by the university staff. 

Centre Based Test (CBT) 

Centre Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted only in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu & Telangana states. University will take all precautionary measures to ensure social distancing at examination centres and will have a proper disinfection system in place.  

AEEE 2021 Timings 

09:30 - 11:00 AM; 12:30 - 02:00 PM; 03:30 - 05:00 PM (slot bookings will be opened in advance before the first phase of examination)
