Formed in 2003, ICTS initially brought together several related areas of IT infrastructure and telecommunication as a result of the institution’s vision for seamlessly initiating new ventures to integrate Information Technology into teaching, learning and research. Over the years the institution has grown substantially in terms of departments and academic programs as well as in infrastructure. ICTS caters to the institution’s IT requirements and has a team to effectively manage and support the IT infrastructure. ICTS started its operations with just 13 servers and at present has an infrastructure of more than 30 servers, and supporting amenities like NOC (Network Operation Center), various ISP connections, routers, gateways and firewalls, Wi-Fi networks, E-Learning studios, PABX system and UPS.
ICTS has grown manifold over the years and has achieved stupendous augmentation of its resources, thereby providing value-added services to its customers. ICTS is recognised throughout Amrita for its professionalism and commitment to service and excellence. We continue to set new benchmarks for ourselves and we are all set to touch newer horizons

ICTS manages the institution’s central information technology infrastructure and provides hundreds of services and applications for use in academic and business activities. Support is provided in the following layers:
Participation and student-centric leadership in institutional IT planning, including strategies for data center expansion, centrally managed storage and backup, network and wifi expansion and disaster recovery.
Applications and services for departments and end-users, from email and calendaring, to wireless connectivity and web authentication, to Windows and Linux server hosting — all supported by a front-line help desk, technically strong support technicians, and training.
Applications and services that support other campus service providers, including the help desk, change management, and network registration systems.
A communications and collaboration infrastructure robust enough to support advanced network, voice, and web-based services.
