Amrita Faculty Member Gets Research Scholar Fellowship at National Institute of Health (NIH) USA

Dr. Chandrashekar Janakiram, Professor, Public Health Dentistry, Amrita School of Dentistry, Kochi, was awarded the Research Scholar Fellowship for Public Health Informatics at National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), National Institute of Health (NIH), USA for one year starting from July 2017 to June 2018. 

Amrita The Childline Foundation and UNICEF Works Together for Child Welfare

An eight-day workshop of "Capacity Building and Training Programme on Strengthening the Skill of Childline Functionaries in Kerala" was conducted by the Department of Social Work, Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Amritapuri, from June 16-24, 2017. The programme was in association with The Childline Foundation and UNICEF, Chennai.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's Amritapuri Campus Bags State Pollution Control Award 2017

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, Kollam, received the State Pollution Control Award 2017, instituted by the Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), on 7th June, 2017, as a part of the World Environment Day celebrations. The award was presented by the Minister for Industries, Sports and Youth Affairs, Shri. A.C. Moideen at IMG Hall, Trivandrum.

SPIC MACAY at Amrita School of Ayurveda

As a part of the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY), Dr. Kalamandalam Rachita Ravi performed at the Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri, on 15th June 2017, from 6 pm to 8 pm.SPIC MACAY, a nationwide voluntary movement, organises programmes of classical music and dance, folk arts, crafts, yoga, classic cinema screenings, heritage walks, etc., at schools and colleges, throughout the world, so as to make the students aware about Indian and World Heritage.
