Amrita IQAC Chair Conducts Faculty Development Program at Bengaluru

As part of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)’s knowledge exchange initiative and sharing of best practices of Amrita with other higher educational institutions, Prof. Prashant R. Nair, Chairman, IQAC, addressed 75+ faculty members from various departments of St. Claret College, Bengaluru, in a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Innovative Teaching Practices from August 17-18, 2019.

Amrita Student Wins First Prize at MIT Robocon 2019 Competition

Ruthvik Chanda (Semester 7) of Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, won first prize at Robocon 2019, an esteemed robotic competition, held at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston, USA, from July 29 to August 9, 2019.

Amrita Team Selected for European Rover Challenge 2019, Poland

The team, ASTRA, of School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, was selected for the final round of the European Rover Challenge Competition 2019, organized by the European Space Foundation, Kielce University of Technology, "Starachowice" Special Economic Zone, Marshal of Swietokrzyskie voivodeship and Mars Society Polska, from September 13-15, 2019, in Kielce, Poland.

School of Agricultural Sciences Opened in Coimbatore

Adding a new milestone, the School of Agricultural Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, was inaugurated on August 9, 2019, by Swami Ramakrishnananda Puri (Mata Amritanandamayi Math), Prof. S. K. Barik (Director, National Botanical Research Institute) and Mr. A. Shanmugham (MLA, Kinathukadavu Constituency, Tamil Nadu).

BD Centre of Excellence in Clinical Flow Cytometry Launched at Amrita Hospital

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), in collaboration with Amrita Hospital, launched the Amrita-BD Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Clinical Flow Cytometry, a critical technique that has many clinical applications. The state-of-the-art CoE that was launched in Kochi will provide training to researchers and clinicians to enhance their expertise in flow cytometry and focus on frontier areas in biological sciences.
