Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Car Free Day Focuses on Cycle Rally and 10 Km Fun Run

Five years ago, a group of socially committed Amritians decided to conduct a cycle rally. This September 22nd, 2015 marked its 5th prolific edition. In the current juncture when the world is finding it difficult to cope with escalating air pollution, the event was really relevant. September 22nd is celebrated as “world car free day” and as a part of it, Amrita Sanjeevani, the seva organisation at Amritapuri Campus, conducted a cycle rally and 10 km fun run from Karunagapally to Amritapuri. 

Amrita Sanjeevani Conducts Sanjeevanam’15- Youth Camp at Attapadi

Amrita Sanjeevani, the student seva association of Amritapuri campus, organized a youth camp titled Sanjeevanam’15, at Attapadi during May 24-26, 2015.  The camp provided a rich experience for all the participants, serving to expand their hearts and minds and leading them to discover a new kind of happiness.

“Born out of the Tsunami”- Amrita Sanjeevani Marks its Tenth Anniversary

Amrita Sanjeevani, the Seva Association of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Amritapuri Campus was formed to provide an opportunity to students and staff at Amrita University to engage in social service. When the tsunami hit the area on December 26, 2004, students and staff who were present at that time pitched in wholeheartedly to do the needful.

Amritasanjeevani Reaches Out to Attappadi Villagers

A yellow bus emblazoned with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham slowly navigated the bumpy roads of Attappadi. Abruptly it screeched to a halt and a frenzied search took place within as young people searched through boxes of clothes. A tribal woman with a small child and an elderly lady were standing along the road near the bus.
