Swagatham 2019 - School of Biotechnology, Amritapuri

On July 17, 2019, Amrita School of Biotechnology, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham heartily welcomed its new batch of students in a unique induction program titled “Swagatham 2019”. The day commenced with the lighting of the lamp by each of the new students and placing it at the feet of the statue of Saraswati Devi, Goddess of knowledge, an age-old tradition symbolizing the absence of darkness and ignorance in the light of knowledge.

Ayurveda Student Wins Second Prize in Poster Presentation at Atharva-19 National Seminar

Dr. Minu Rosamma Joseph, First year PG Scholar, Department of Shalyatantra, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus,  secured second prize in the poster presentation competition at THARVA-19 National Seminar on Emergency Management - An Ayurveda Approach, held at Government Ayurveda College, Trivandrum, from July 3-4, 2019.

Dorothy Bush Koch, daughter of 41st President of the United States George H.W. Bush and sister of 43rd President George W. Bush, officially welcomed Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi to Washington, D.C. on July 1, 2019.  “Doro” and her sister-in-law, Patricia Reilly Koch, garlanded Amma, received her blessings and offered a few words.
