Amrita SeRVe centre launched in Wayanad

Amrita SeRVe was inaugurated on January 13th, 2014, at Valaramkunnu Tribal colony in Wayanad district of Kerala. Amrita SeRVe, will implement a comprehensive series of welfare projects intended to improve the infrastructure, education and basic facilities in communities enabling them to become self-reliant role-model villages.

I have tried to point out some of the positive aspects of village life here. We can learn from these people, but there is also much that we can teach. Yesterday I watch ten older ladies learning to write for the first time.

Amrita RITE launch at Wayanad

AmritaCREATE recently developed Amrita RITE (Rural India Tablet Education) with the aim to provide after-school tutoring and adult literacy in rural and tribal villages of India, with the help of tablet computers. The programme was recently launched in the Wayanad district of Kerala, India on 28 December 2013.

A workshop was conducted by AmritaCREATE for the students of Class 12 during the ISEE  symposium held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham- Amritapuri campus, on July 28, 2013.
