'Indian Writing in English - II' is a course offered in Sixth Semester of B. A. (Bachelor of Arts) English Language and Literature program at the School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus.
To provide an overview of the various phases of the evolution of Indian writing in English; to introduce students to the thematic concerns, genres and trends of Indian writing in English; to generate discussions on the constraints and challenges encountered in articulating Indian sensibility in English; to expose students to the pluralistic aspects of Indian culture, ethos and identity.
