The Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi organized an Anaesthesiology Refresher Course 2014 on August 10, 2014.
The one-day Continuing medical education (CME) program focused on postgraduate teaching and core topics in anaesthetic practice including neuroanaesthesia, cardiac anaesthesia, obstetric anaesthesia and transplant anaesthesia.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Prem Nair, Medical Director, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS). Eminent faculty from Kerala and neighboring states participated in the academic sessions and brought forth the most recent practices in specialty areas of anaesthesia.

R. and Manikandan S., Additional Professors, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram; Suresh G. Nair, Lead Consultant, Aster Medcity, Kochi; Gopakumar D., Head of the Department of Anaesthesia, SUT Royal Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, participated for the course.
Faculty from the Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at Amrita included Drs. More than 200 delegates attended the CME which included postgraduate students and practicing anaesthesiologists’.
