Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru commemorated ‘Ayudha Pooja’ on the 7th of October 2016. The Departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering gathered in the microwave lab to pay homage to the equipments that allow for smooth learning.
 
The lab was adorned with flowers and balloons. The computer monitors displayed pictures of various deities and the music played added to the festive fervour. A photo of Mata Amritanandamayi Devi with floral decorations was set in the background alongside pictures of deities marked with sandalwood paste and marigolds. The lab had beautiful rangolis on display which garnered a lot of praise from students and staff alike. Traditions and cultural norms were adhered to so as to provide all with a holistic celebration experience.
 
The doorway was decorated with marigolds and turmeric paste, and hosted a sign welcoming everyone. At 2:30 pm, the ceremony started off with prayers and singing from various members of the staff. Everyone joined in when Mr. Sharma, Dept. of ME started singing a song praising the divine mother. The music coupled with the enthusiastic singing of the audience gave the lab an aura of spiritual bliss and peace.
 
The pooja was done by Mr. Sharma and the prasadam was distributed at the end to all present. The active participation of members of the staff , and the efforts of ECIF and other students made the event a grand success.
