The Department of Management, Kochi, will organize ‘CHAKRAVYUH’, a Business Plan competition on March 7, 2019.

About Us

ASTHRA, the flagship event of Amrita MBA Programme, Kochi commenced as a B-fest in 2012, metamorphosed into an International Symposium in 2015. As part of the eighth edition of ASTHRA, we are conducting ‘CHAKRAVYUH’, a Business Plan competition.

ASTHRA 8^th Edition

ASTHRA 8th edition emphasizes on the various impacts of sudden changes in the VUCA world, and their impact on the business front. We are clearly living in a new reality characterized by Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity, and this new world is here to stay. We at AMRITA, are trying to put forward a small step in understanding these trends, in order to redefine the rightful role of managers in the society.

Chakravyuh

Chakravyuh is being organised as a part of the 8th Edition of ASTHRA. It comprise of Business Plan. The prime objective of Chakravyuh is to provide a strong pedestal for students and professionals to present their Business Plans, bring it into the limelight, thereby unleashing the entrepreneur in them. Chakravyuh has always been a covetable platform for the participants to meet and interact with eminent entrepreneurs and business conglomerates. The event has also seen participants from Universities across the globe, vying with each other.

In an attempt to upgrade the existing B-Plan, we are introducing “Business Plan with Simulation” which will provide the participants with the opportunity of not only pitching their idea but also getting to know the possible consequences of it virtually. With the support of Amrita Technology Business Incubator, we intend to use virtual simulation as a method to forecast the outcome. Knowing the future business outcomes is also useful in evaluating upgrades to existing processes and implementing new technologies to game out the practical results of those changes.

The Event will be Held in Two Phases

Round 1

Shortlisting based on business plans submitted through e-mail.

Round 2

Live presentation [Online / Offline] to the judging panel 20 shortlisted teams.

Business Plan Competition

Rules to Beat the Chakra

• Each entry should be labelled with your name, contact number, college name /company name and your e-mail address.
• Proposals can be based on any topic or stream, supported by an innovative idea/technology or an alternative solution
• The mandatory sections that needs to be included are
  • A description of your product and/or service
  • Your goals for the business
  • Your proposed target market
  • Your competition and what differentiates your business
  • Your management team and their prior experience
  • Financial outlook for the business
• A team can consist of maximum 5 members.
• All entries must be original work of the entrant and must not infringe on the rights of any other participant.
• Final results will be judges’ prerogative.
• Time for presentation will be 20 minutes.

Important Dates

• Last Date of Registration / B – Plan Submission: February 25, 2019
• First Shortlist: March 1, 2019
• Final Presentation: March 7, 2019

Prizes

• 1^st Position : Prize worth ₹15,000/-
• 2^nd Position : Prize worth ₹10,000/-

Registration

Contact the coordinators for the Initial registration fees. All the participants should submit their respective B- Plan along with their initial payment. (The detailed B-Plan format will be intimated by the committee via email)

All participants who qualify the initial round can proceed to the final round after making a payment.

Instructions for Registration

1. Register for the event ⇒
2. Participants are then required to make the payment (“Proceed to Online Payment”)
3. Please note down your Reference no/ Transaction id / Payment id whichever is applicable after the payment.
4. On successful completion of online payment, enter your business plan details and submit (“Submit Your Business Plan”).
