The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru Campus, is organizing the first International Conference on Intelligent Computing (ICIC 2018) from October 25-27, 2018.

About the Conference

The conference is intended to serve as a major international forum to the students (budding engineers), engineers, researchers and academicians to exchange their innovative ideas and experiences in the area of intelligent systems focused towards the applications of Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Saliency systems and Robotics.

Vision

Intelligent Computing Systems have appeared in most scientific disciplines, including engineering, Computer and Information Technology, Economics, Business, Commerce, Environment, Healthcare and Life sciences.

Built-in Intelligence is an integral component of the developing Internet of Things (IoT), in which almost everything imaginable can be provided with unique identifiers and the ability to automatically transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.

Intelligent systems include not just intelligent devices but also interconnected collections of such devices, including networks and other types of larger systems. Therefore, it becomes critical to recognize the nature and manifestation of this environment, and to develop a corresponding pathway to holistic Intelligent Computing methodology.

Objective & Scope of the Conference

Siemens proclaimed in 2016 "Our future depends on Intelligent Infrastructures?". As intelligent systems are dominant today, it is well known that emerging technology focus towards smart-based self-analyzed automated systems.

The market for Intelligent System technologies is flourishing In future. Digital Revolution on Smart Intelligent systems will pave the way for sophisticated integrated systems that keep global economies safe and successful. Generative Adversarial Networks, or GANs, are one such system that consists of one network that generates new data after learning from a training set, and another that tries to discriminate between real and fake data.

By working together, these networks can produce very realistic synthetic data. Any such innovations should attain the benefits for societal welfare that overcome the hurdles of current systematic issues. As computer and information technologies advance, Intelligent Computing would gain popularity at a quicker pace; influencing the way we live and exists all around us in digital televisions, traffic lights, smart meters, automobiles, digital signage and airplane controls, among a great number of other possibilities.

The scope of our International Conference on Intelligent Computing (ICIC’2018) is to create an enduring techno-platform for mutually sharing the advanced and innovative technologies among all the researchers, academicians, students and industry practitioners in the areas of Smart and Intelligent Computing systems. This conference addresses the relevant topics and research issues in the vicinity of intelligent systems focused towards the applications of Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Saliency systems and Robotics.

Submission Guideliness

  • Papers should describe original work that has not been published and is not under review elsewhere.
  • Authors are invited to submit full paper as PDF using the IEEE templates. Paper drafts must be prepared in English with not less than four (4) printed pages and with a maximum of six (6) printed pages in IEEE format (10-point font, double-column and A4)including figures, tables and references.
  • Papers beyond 6 pages are subject to page surcharges of Rs. 1000 extra per page. Total number of pages should not exceed 8 in any case. The conference reserves the right to refrain from reviewing papers that are significantly longer than 8 pages.
  • Prospective authors are kindly invited to submit papers electronically to ICIC 2018 through EasyChair. For submission of paper, at least one of the authors of the paper should be a registered user of EasyChair. Unregistered authors should first create an account on Easy Chair.
  • All papers will be evaluated by at least two members of the Technical Program Committee.
  • The maximum no. of words allowed in abstract is 250 words and at least 5 keywords are also required.
  • The authors are advised to select only one (i.e. the most suitable) track out of 7 mentioned tracks in submission page for their submission at the time of submitting the manuscript through EasyChair.
  • All papers submitted to ICIC 2018 will be checked for plagiarism. If found free of plagiarism, it will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on Novelty, Presentation, Correctness and Relevance to the conference. In case of the minor plagiarism, the authors will be asked to rewrite the paper. In other cases, the paper will be immediately rejected.
  • The acceptance of papers along with referees comment will be communicated to authors through email. Authors are required to incorporate the comments received in the CAMERA-READY PAPER before final submission.
  • After acceptance, author has to register on our website link to upload camera ready copy of the paper.
  • There is no provision of paper withdrawal or refund of registration fee, once you register your paper at the conference website.
  • Three best papers shall be awarded.

Paper Submission Policies

Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). These matters are taken very seriously, and Technical Program Committee of the conference will act against any author who has engaged in either practice.

All the accepted and presented papers will be published with no article processing fees in Journal of Computational and Theoretical Nanoscience (SCOPUS Indexed)# as a Special Issue on Intelligent Computing:

Interested Presenters shall opt for extended versions of the selected papers to be published in the following journals with additional processing fees as prescribed by the journal authorities:

Steps for registration is as follows:

Step 1 - Registration Fee

  • Registration Fee includes 18% GST.
  • Registration fee for participants includes access to the conference technical sessions, conference kit, refreshments and meals on all the conference days.

Step 2 - Online Registration and Payment

  • Please create your Account in the Conference Registration System by filling up your personal details.
  • Upon successful account creation, you will get an email to the registered email ID which will have a link to complete the registration process.
  • Once the online registration is completed, Participant can make online payment of the registration fee.
  • In exception cases, fees may be collected by DD. Cheques are not accepted. DD shall be taken in favor of “Amrita Centre for Research and Development” payable at Kollam.
  • After completing the payment process, you have to keep a copy of the transaction receipt / DD submission.

Step 3 - Camera Ready Paper Submission

Once the paper is accepted, author(s) have to submit the Camera Ready Paper (IEEE Template). Generate the camera-ready paper incorporating all the corrections and remarks mentioned by the reviewers. Author(s) have to submit pdf format of the paper.

Step 4 - Answers to Reviewers' Comments / Suggestions

Author(s) answers / justifications for the comments / suggestions made by the reviewers should be consolidated in a pdf file. The template for the same can be downloaded from the conference website. This should be uploaded along with other documents.

Step 5 - Completion of Registration and Uploading Documents

Login to the Conference Registration System.

Complete the registration form by providing the details requested.

How to get here

By Air : Bengaluru's new airport at Devanahalli is located at some distance away from the main city. It is well connected, however, with special buses plying to major centers such as Majestic and City Market. 

By Train: The campus is located about 17 kilometers from the City Railway Station, Majestic Bus Terminus. 
 

By Bus: The Campus is located in south Bengaluru on a road connecting Sarjapur Road and Hosur Road and is about 2 kilometers from Kaikondranahalli busstop on Sarjapur Road. BMTC buses ply right upto the campus gate from city center places like Majestic & City Market. The campus can also be accessed from Hosur Road, about 5 kms before the Electronic City. Any bus towards Sarjapura will take one to Kaikondanahalli, one stop before Wipro's Corporate Office. 

Bus Routes: Bus Number 340 L from Majestic to college main gate and 341 B from KR Market to college. 342 F (From Majestic), 342 A, 342 B, 342 C, 342 D (From City Market) - Passes through Kaikondranahalli, the nearest bus stop is Off Sarjapura main road.
