Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma
Dr. Sharma completed hid PhD from IISc Bangalore. His research interest are beneficial use of waste/recycled materials, sustainable waste management, stablization of problamatic soils etc. He is enthusiastic about correlating his geotechnic findings with nano-characterization techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction study.
Dr. Sreevalsa Kolathayar
M.Tech. from IIt Kanpur, PhD from IISc and former International Research Staff at UPC Barcelona Tech Spain. Authored two books in the area of earthquake hazard assessment with Springer and CRC Press. Dr. Sreevalsa was featured by The New Indian Express in 2017and was honored with Edex award; 40 under 40 - south India's Most Inspiring Young Teachers.
Dr. Bindumadhava Aery
A Lead Geotechnical Engineer from Australia, with more than 25 years of global experience in geotechnical design for major infrastructure projects including Airports, Highways, and Bridges etc. Expert in Geotechnical design for Airport expansion and his speciality includes design and implementation of large earthworks, development of design guidelines, project specific specification, deep & shallow foundations, ground improvements, and geotechnical investigations.
Dr. Darren Chian Siau Chen
PhD from Cambridge University and currently faculty at NUS Singapore. Expert in earthquake engineering, land reclamation and recycling waste material. He is presently the youngest elected Vice President of the Geotechnical Society of Singapore(GeoSS). Dr. Chian's research work on catastrophe modeling at NUS led to his award of the prestigious Top 10 Innovators under 35 in Asia by the MIT Technology Review in 2016.
Dr Kaniraj Shenbaga
Former Professor at the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak and IIT Delhi. He served as Dean R&D at Curtin University, Malaysia. A geotechnical engineer with research interests in foundation engineering, soft soils engineering, fly ash engineering, and fiber reinforced soils. He also held research appointments at the University of Oxford, U.K. and the University of Calgary Canada. His book “Design Aids in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering” published by the Tata-McGraw Hill Publishing Company, reprinted 19 times, and has been a source of reference to many students and practitioners in India and abroad.
Dr R Kuberan
Completed B.E. (Hons.) in Civil Engineering with First rank in Madras University and was selected by the Union Public Service Commission for Water Engineering Service of the Government of India. He pursued Masters and Doctoral research work at IIT Delhi and his PhD thesis won the IGS-Prof Leonards Award for the Best PhD Thesis. He served the Indian Geotechnical Society as its Honorary Secretary for 7 years. After 20 years of government service, he served United Nations Development Programme in Vietnam in the field of Construction and Quality Control of Flood Control Structures. Presently, Dr Kuberan is the Senior Editor of the magazine “Civil Engineering and Construction Review”.
