Mobile Applications and Developer Challenges in Android Powered Devices
Department of Information Technology at Amrita School of Engineering is conducting a three day national workshop on Mobile Applications and Developer Challenges in Android Powered Devices.
The workshop aims at enabling the participants on the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in Android. With millions of apps, games, songs and videos on Google Play, Android is so powerful, yet still so easy.The workshop is designed to showcase various applications and demos for hands-on sessions to developers. The workshop will provide the participants an insight into the different dimensions of Android OS with experts from the industry and academia.
Mobile App development is one of the fastest growing fields in the IT industry. Smart phone technology has shrunk the world as the number of users is increasing day by day. Starting with simple regular handsets, which were used just for making phone calls, mobile devices have changed our lives. Now they are used not just for making calls but have innumerable other uses involving Camera, Music player, Tablet PC, T.V., Web browser etc. This workshop will provide the best and the most up-to-date applications, and challenges for App developers with industry-oriented technical content, thereby facilitating a global exchange of ideas and the identification and shaping of future trends and directions in this field.
Android Operating System(OS) that was primarily developed for phones and tablets has captured the smart phone Operating System arena, currently being the most popular mobile OS having the largest installed base. One of the prominent reasons for rapid growth in this field is the open source android platform that facilitates fast, easy application development and holds potential for enormous development. The workshop will focus on Android powered devices.
