Amrita School of Pharmacy, Kochi celebrated Navratri festival on October 22, 2020. Dr. Sabitha M, Principal, Amrita School of Pharmacy addressed the gathering. The chief guest of the day was Dr. Lakshmi Shankar, Assistant Professor, Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur and she is also a member in the judging panel of the renowned program in Amrita TV, “Sreshtabharatham Mahabharatham”, which inculcate human values into the audience. Dr. Lakshmi Shankar shared about the significance of Navratri. The topic for discussion was “Samskaranathinte Dinarathrangal” [The day and nights of redaction]. Navratri is an occasion for worshipping, Parashakthy. According to Hindu Purana, Navratri festival celebrated as Goddess Durga’s victory over powerful demon Mahishasura. She also talked about the value and power of Lalithasahasranama and Devi Mahatmyam. The talk was very informative and motivating.
