A webinar on “Challenges in Realizing Self Driving Vehicles and Various Control Applications” was conducted by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, on July 11, 2020.
The session was handled by Dr.Gopinath Selvaraj, Senior technical architect of Tata Elxsi. The programme was organized in virtual mode as Microsoft Teams Live event. The event was co-ordinated by Amritha S. (Assistant Professor) and Dr. V. Ravikumar Pandi (Assistant Professor and M.Tech. Admission Co-ordinator of EEE). The live programme had around 160 participants from all over the country. The session included the Autonomous driving and various levels of automation, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning applications, implementation challenges in perception, challenges in guidance, navigation and control systems and ways forward in realizing AD features of Autonomous Vehicles.
