The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru campus, will host a Webinar on The E World – Come, Explore, Innovate and Incept, on June 12, 2020. The webinar will be presented by Dr. G. Raju, professor and former project director Megha- Tropiques, ISRO.
The talk will be followed by interaction with students and alumni- Mr. Pavan Telluri, Ms. Sandhya Mani and Mr. Aman Surya.
Moderators:
Dr. G. Raju, is the former project director Megha-Tropiques, ISRO and is currently working as Professor in Aerospace Engineering, guiding 8 Ph.D., students. Joined ISRO, Ahmedabad, as Microwave Engineer/Scientist in 1972 and worked on microwave RS projects. He was a lead member in developing the first Indian remote sensing payloads on Bhaskara-1 and -2 satellites. He is associated with the most prestigious projects such as NISAR, NaviC / IRNSS. He had published/presented more than 130 technical papers in peer-reviewed journals. He had received the J. Dasgupta gold medal for the best paper on meteorological instrumentation. He is the senior member of IEEE (USA) for more than 20 years and also life member in Indian Meteorological Society, Astronautical Society of India (ASI).
