As a part of Amritavarsham 67, a webinar was conducted in Amrita School of Pharmacy under the guidance of the cultural committee on September 24, 2020.The session was handled by Sri.Peeyush G and gave a very good talk on the topic ‘Uncover your reason to get up in the morning’. The topic was based on the Japanese concept ‘IKIGAI’, which means ‘a reason for being’. The concept told us to ask a few questions to ourselves. It includes, what you love, what the world needs, what you can be paid for, what you are good at. This concept includes your passion, mission, profession as well as vocation. At the end you can find your purpose in life which will make it worth and make us feel satisfied. The word consists of ‘iki’ means to live and ‘gai’ means reason. The concept is focusing on self development rather than on self sacrifice. A t the end of the session, a numerous number of questions were asked by the students as well as the faculties. Sri.Peeyush G addressed all of them very clearly. The session was very interesting and so many practical aspects on the topic was discussed.
