As part of "Teaching 10K Teachers" fondly known as "T10KT", IIT Kharagpur conducted a workshop on "CMOS Mixed Signal and Radio Frequency VLSI Design" from January 30 to February 4, 2017. A-View was used to conduct the workshop for 12 faculties.

The participating teachers completed the equivalent of two-week full time work online, spread over 6 physical weeks with video lectures and assignments will be uploaded beforehand. After completing the online assignments spread over 4 to 5 weeks the participants assembled at the selected Remote Centers for 6 days face to face interaction and lecture sessions through A-VIEW and completed team assignments, tutorials, quizzes etc. Offline assignments was uploaded and the participants completed these assignments.

  • Analog front end for sensor interface : Instrumentation Amplifier (IA), chopper, Variable Gain Amplifier (VGA) 
  • Data converters: SAR & pipelined ADC. 
  • Digital VLSI :
    • Static MOS gate circuits 
    • High-Speed CMOS Logic Design 
    • Transfer Gate and Dynamic Logic Design
    • VLSI architectures for video processing 
  • RF circuits: Introduction to RFIC design. 
  • Design and implementation of typical RF Tx-Rx sub-components:
    • Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) 
    • Mixer 
    • Frequency synthesizer 
    • Power amplifier 
    • Lay out and chip level integration.
