The conference was co-sponsored by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi.

The prime objective of the conference was to garner researchers all over the world working in the emerging area of embedded systems and providing a platform to express ideas in this domain.
Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore was chosen as one of the remote centers for hosting a workshop on Computer Networking, under the National Mission on Education through ICT (MHRD, Government of India), from June 30- July 5, 2014. The initiative was taken up by IIT Bombay to work with engineering colleges in the country to enhance the teaching skills of faculty members in core engineering and science subjects.

Amrita School of Arts & Sciences, Kochi will organize a three day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Pedagogical Techniques and Proactive Academic Delivery System. The FDP aims to enhance the mentoring skills of the faculty members of ASAS, Kochi and thereby to become more ecient facilitators of academic delivery using modern tools.
