Bio

Dr. Leena P. Nair, MD (Ayu),(PhD), Professor in the Department of Basic Principles, joined Amrita School of Ayurveda in the year 2011. Previously she was working as the Consultant Physician at Ayurjeevanam, Mannar, since 2004. She is a post graduate in Ayurveda Siddhanta from Alvas Ayurveda Medical College, Moodbidri, RGUHS, Bangalore, in the year 2011. She also holds additional qualifications in Diploma in Yoga & Naturopathy (DYN) from CCRYN & PGDPK from KMC Manipal, MAHE. Currently she is pursuing her Ph. D. from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. She has 8 years of teaching experience including 5 years & 8 months of post graduate teaching. She has guided more than 10 PG scholars and has more than 30 scholarly publications in various scientific journals including scopus indexed. She is interested in delivering public awareness classes on Psychology, Philosophy and Public Health and also participates in medical camps in association with various NGOs and local governing bodies. She holds the additional charge of Coordinator, Exam Control Division (Internal), since 2016. She served as the Organising Secretary of Hridayamritham 2015 – a National Parayana Programme on Astanga Hridaya and organising committee member of Charaka Tatvamritham, Hridaya Parayanam, Hridayavabodhanam & Jnanamritham series conducted every year. She has been appointed as the Examiner in various universities. She holds various positions in Ayurveda Medical Association of India in district & state level.
