Dr. Sreedhar K. M.
Dr. K. M. Sreedhar joined Amrita’s Department of Chemistry in 2004. He received his Ph. D. in Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University; his dissertation was on Polymeric Reagents Based on the Cross-Linked Copolymers of N-Vinylpyrrolidone and 4-Vinylpyridine.
Dr. Sreedhar is currently advisor to five Ph. D. candidates. He has guided numerous projects at the M. Sc. level as well. He has published internationally in the areas relating to his work.
His areas of interest include synthesis and characterization of organic polymers used as supports in solid-phase organic synthesis and reactions, polymer-supported organic synthesis and reactions, polymer-supported reagents, catalysts, polymer-supported peptide synthesis, synthesis and characterization of antibacterial peptides.
Dr. Sreedhar has an M. Sc. in Applied Chemistry from the Gandhigram Rural Institute of Central University. He is also interested in the fields of Waste Water Treatment, Conducting Polymers and Computational Chemistry.
