Dr. Harini Jayaraman, Professor and Chairperson, Department of English at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore has been teaching for the past twenty years and her areas of interest are Indian Writing in English, Comparative Literature, and English Language Teaching (ELT). Besides teaching Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Language and Literature to students of various disciplines, she has also been guiding M. Phil. and Ph. D candidates. She is a member of the Board of Studies at Amrita and in other universities as well. She has served as an Invited Speaker and as a Resource Person in several workshops, and as a researcher she has contributed papers in various national and international journals and conferences. Dr. Jayaraman is chairing the Board of Studies fro Langauges at Amrita and is a member of Boards of Studies in English in other universities. She is also an examiner for Doctoral Thesis, a question paper setter, and a member in a few Doctoral Committees.

  2. Conducted a one-Day Workshop on “The Use of Technology in Language Teaching” for Language Teachers on 28th July, 2012 at Amrita Vidyalayam, Chennai.
  3. Conducted a one-day workshop  on “Innovations in English Language Teaching in Globalized India” on 13 Dec. 2010
