Bio

Dr. Kondeti Lakshmi Vasudev currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai. He is also the Laboratory In-charge for Manufacturing Practises. He has more than 5 years of teaching experience, 4 years 7 months of part-time industrial experience, and 6 years of research experience.

Dr. Kondeti Lakshmi Vasudev received his Ph.D. from the Department of Ocean Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, in 2016. He graduated with a dual degree (B. Tech. + M. Tech.) integrated course from the Department of Naval Architecture and Ship Building, Saint-Petersburg State Marine Technical University, Russia.

During Ph. D., he assisted his guide in industrial consultancy projects on Seismic Analysis of Bus Duct Structure and Hydrodynamic Response of a Canopy Structure. His Ph. D. thesis deals with the development of optimization framework integrated with CFD and CAD for the design of AUVs. Based on his Ph. D, he published and presented papers in 6 international conferences, and published indexed papers in the following journals – “Methods in Oceanography”, “Defense Science Journal”, “Ships and Offshore Structures” and “Journal of Engineering for Maritime Environment, IMech. Part M”. Post Ph.D, he published and presented paper in 1 international conference and published 1 paper in the journal “Applied Ocean Research”. Currently, he acts as a reviewer for the following journals Applied Ocean Research, Ships and Offshore Structures, Journal of Applied Fluid Mechanics.
