Dr Neelam J. Upadhyay currently serves as Assistant Professor (Sr. Gr.) in the Department of Physics, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus. She obtained her Masters degree in nuclear physics and doctorate in theoretical nuclear physics (2009) from the University of Mumbai.
Dr Neelam completed her postdoctoral research work in Michigan State University, USA (2010-13) and Louisiana State University, USA (2013-14) and at UMDAE Centre for Basic Sciences, Mumbai (2015 2017). She was also a SITRA fellowship awardee and a visiting student at the University of Helsinki, Finland from September 2008 till March 2009. In 2016 she was selected as one of the researchers nationwide to receive SERB Research Grant under Start up research grant for Young Scientists program of Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), India.
Her research interests comprises of Nuclear Reaction Theory, Eta-Mesic Physics, Kaon Physics and Few body Physics.
