Dr. Nikhil Kumar C. S. currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai campus, India.
Dr. Nikhil Kumar C. S., completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) in Electrical Engineering (thesis submitted in January 2020 and defended in July 2020) as well as Master of Science by Research (MS, 2014) in Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, under the guideship of Prof. Anil Prabhakar. He did his B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Calicut, Kerala, 2007. His area of research includes numerical modeling of magnonic and spin-torque devices. His research contributions involve the design of magnonic spintronic oscillators to create narrow linewidth spin-wave oscillations with higher quality factors. His research interest includes topics which have common ground in radio frequency properties of magnonics and spintronic devices.
Dr. Nikhil Kumar C. S., before joining IIT, Madras, worked as a guest lecturer in the Electronics Department, Government Engineering College, Thrissur (2008 – 2010), and as Junior Executive Trainee (JET-ATC) in the Airports Authority of India (6 months), Trivandrum.
