Banoth Ravi, a PhD scholar in the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department at Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, Jharkhand, has submitted his thesis and is waiting to defend the same. His current research is in Wireless Ad-hoc networks, Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Software-Defined Networks, Software-Defined Vehicular Networks, Internet of Vehicles, Intelligent Digital Twin Networks, Heterogeneous Vehicular Networks, Markov Process and Queueing Theory, Data Networks, and Stochastic Modeling and Analysis of Computer and Communication Networks.

Banoth Ravi received his BTech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology, affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India, and MTech Degree in Digital Systems and Computer Electronics from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University College of Engineering Hyderabad, India. His master’s thesis was on “Implementation of Multi-cast Routing Protocol for Wireless Ad-hoc Networks”. Before joining master’s, he was GATE-qualified. After his BTech and MTech, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at DVR Institute of Technology & Science, Mahaveer Institute of Science and Technology, from June 2007–May 2009, December 2011–May 2012, and July 2012-February 2016; a Teaching Assistant at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad from February 2016–February 2021.

Banoth Ravi’s published works deal with Stochastic Analysis, Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks, Software Defined Vehicular Networks, and Software Defined Heterogeneous Vehicular Networks. He has published 5 papers (4 as the first author, 1 as the second author), indexed in SCIE/Web of Science Journals, with good impact factors. Additionally, he has published 5 Scopus-indexed Conference papers (4 as first author and 1 as co-author).
