  • Biopolymer Based Electrochemical Sensors for Synthetic food Colorants/Environmental pollutants/biomolecules: The development of fast, rapid, and cost-effective methods for the determination of biologically important molecules has attracted considerable attention in many areas such as clinical, diagnostic, biochemical and food industries. Nowadays, the main problem faced by Human health is food safety and environmental issues. Food poisoning adversely affects the economy, trade, and industry of affected countries. Early and accurate detection of food safety is critical to preventing, controlling, and mitigating the effects of potential outbreaks. Evidence of many test insufficiencies and carcinogenicity, genotoxicity, and hypersensitivity is consistent with the fact that color does not improve food safety or nutritional value. The increase in the number of potentially harmful pollutants in the environment, especially food security, has created a need for the development of efficient analytical methods for their detection. Electrochemical sensors are emerging as suitable analytical tools as they provide a low-cost and sensitive tool based on portable devices capable of rapidly detecting a range of analytes with high sensitivity and specificity. Electrochemical methods play an important role in the quality control of food processing, improving the quality and safety of products. Because of the more advantageous nature of the electrochemical method, we would like to proceed using it. This method is green, fast analysis, less expensive, increasingly precise, selective, specific, and highly sensitive. Our research focuses on the development of analytical methods and techniques to analyze food samples, medicines, quantification of biomolecules, and detection of various organic and inorganic environmental pollutants.
  • Phytochemical Analysis of Plant Extracts: Natural products have great demand in different industries such as food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics so the research continues into their potential for new applications. For thousands of years, nature has served as a source of medicine, and an amazing variety of drugs have been separated from it. Examples include alkaloids, glycosides, terpenoids, phenols, tannins, flavonoids and saponins. Additionally, there is increased interest in plant chemistry to find more potent biotherapeutic compounds.  Several studies have already proved that both the flower and leaf possess analgesic, antioxidant, and anti-fungal properties. There are studies that report that the herb possesses anti-cancer properties. The mission is to research the properties of various plant extracts of medicinal importance and demonstrate their pharmacological effects.
  • Fabrication of Enzymatic and Non-Enzymatic Biosensors: Currently our group was engaged in the fabrication of cholesterol biosensors by the conventional way of modifying the electrodes and to develop both enzymatic and non-enzymatic cholesterol biosensors. This fabricated cholesterol biosensor provides a new platform for routine analysis of cholesterol in human blood serum samples
  • Multicomponent reactions for the synthesis of small organic molecules : Carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bond-forming reactions are central to organic synthesis. Different types of reactions such as polar, pericyclic, and radical reactions have been employed by organic chemists for the construction of carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bonds. Among various intermediates involved in polar reactions, a class of potentially useful dipolar species, viz., zwitterions resulting from the addition of nucleophiles to activated π- systems have been of interest to our research group.
