Dr. Simhadri Vadrevu is an Assistant Professor (Sr.Gr.) in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus.
Dr. Simhadri’s primary research focus has been the study of Quality-Aware Cardiac Signal Processing methods for reducing false alarms and energy consumption for resource-constrained devices. This includes design and development of various signal peak detection methods, quality assessment methods, compression, and transmission schemes for wearable health-computing devices. He also contributed in the development of wireless sensor Embedded system design for agro-industrial applications by integrating sensor fusion and data compression techniques. His research interests include Wearable healthcare monitoring, Internet of things, Real-time Embedded signal processing, Biomedical signal processing - including analysis of cardiovascular signals such as photoplethysmogram (PPG), phonocardiogram (PCG), electrocardiogram (ECG), Biometric system design using bio signals, Speech processing and speech recognition, Time-frequency analysis of non-stationary signals.
Dr. Simhadri has presented research papers in several national and international conferences and public seminars and also published scientific papers in highly reputed international journals.
