Dr. Simhadri’s primary research focus has been the study of Quality-Aware Cardiac Signal Processing methods for reducing false alarms and energy consumption for resource-constrained devices. This includes design and development of various signal peak detection methods, quality assessment methods, compression, and transmission schemes for wearable health-computing devices. He also contributed in the development of wireless sensor Embedded system design for agro-industrial applications by integrating sensor fusion and data compression techniques. His research interests include Wearable healthcare monitoring, Internet of things, Real-time Embedded signal processing, Biomedical signal processing - including analysis of cardiovascular signals such as photoplethysmogram (PPG), phonocardiogram (PCG), electrocardiogram (ECG), Biometric system design using bio signals, Speech processing and speech recognition, Time-frequency analysis of non-stationary signals.

Dr. Simhadri has presented research papers in several national and international conferences and public seminars and also published scientific papers in highly reputed international journals.
