Srikanth V. currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Sr.Gr) in the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri. He received his B.Tech Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology in 2009. During July 2009 to August 2010 he was with College of Engineering, Munnar. Srikanth received his M.Tech Degree from Govt. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam, with 2nd Rank in Industrial Drives and Control Specialization. From 2012 August onwards, he is with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri.
Srikanth is an active member of IEEE and a life member of ISTE. He has contributed his volunteering services in various levels of IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS). He is a Council Member of IEEE IAS from 2012 onwards. Currently he is an Executive Board Member of IEEE Industry Applications Society. Srikanth’s profile has been published in the IEEE IAS magazine July/August 2016 issue under the feature “Pathways”.
He was conferred with Certificate of Excellence and Certificate of Appreciation several times for his achievements from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Srikanth has also received international recognitions by IEEE Industry Applications Society being selected as “Outstanding Student Branch Chapter Area Chair (2014 & 2015)”. He is the advisor of IEEE IAS Student Branch Chapter in Amritapuri campus.
Srikanth's research interest include Model Predictive control of machines, Sensored and Sensor-less control of Machines, Power electronics converters, Special Electric machines and control, Electric Vehicles.
