Bio

Dr. Vinith Kumar Nair currently holds the position of Associate Director at the Amrita Centre for Accreditations, Rankings & Eminence and serves as a Professor of Marketing at the Amrita School of Business, Amritapuri Campus. He earned his PGDM from Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore, and holds a master’s degree in commerce and a PhD in Services Marketing from Vikram University, Ujjain (M.P.).

Before joining Amrita University, Dr. Nair served as a full professor in Marketing and held the role of Associate Dean-External Affairs at TKM Institute of Management in Kerala, India. Additionally, he worked as a visiting expert faculty at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kannur. With over 20 years of experience in management, business consultancy, and corporate training, he has played a pivotal role in fostering strong connections between the industry and academia. Dr. Nair has initiated new ventures and led organizational turnarounds, contributing significantly to the field.

His extensive career includes curating three Management Post Graduate programs for two prominent B-Schools, developing Certificate Courses, and establishing international Immersion Programs for B-Schools in India. Dr. Nair also co-founded MaxEd, the Market Intelligence and Data Analytics vertical of i-miRa Knowledge Solutions in Trivandrum, and is the Chief Editor of one of India’s biggest news publishing platforms www.passionateinmarketing.com

Recognized for his outstanding contributions to management education, Dr. Nair received an honor from the National Institute of Personnel Management, Trivandrum Chapter, in 2019. He has presented numerous papers at international and national conferences/seminars and published research papers in Scopus and ABDC-indexed journals. He has shared his expertise as an invited speaker at international ranking events organized by THE, QS, and HEPA.

Dr. Nair has undertaken management consulting for various organizations in India and abroad, including Mathrubhumi, AVT, Muthoot Finance, Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation, Directorate of Coir, Kerala, and AAMC-Australia. He was the Research Director for the extensive socio-political survey, the Mathrubhumi-MaxEd Opinion Survey 2022.

Known for organizing successful Management Development Programs in Sales and distribution, Customer Relationship Management, and leveraging social media for business, Dr. Nair has conducted Faculty Development Programs in Case Teaching and research, the use of social media in classrooms, E-Learning, etc. An expert in Case Teaching, he is the author of two Case Books titled ‘Cases in Services Marketing’ and ‘Management Case Book,’ both published by Excel Books, New Delhi.
