  1. Passport
  2. Passport size Photographs - 20
Photographs are required during the Visa process, while registering in the Foreign Registration Office, in the hostel, on the admission form, to open a back account, and to buy a phone and sim card. It is always good to keep several copies of your passport size photographs with you.
  3. Visa
All international students will require a Student Visa endorsed to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. No other endorsement will be accepted. Students who wish to join a research program will require a Research Visa endorsed to the institution. The Visa should be valid for the prescribed duration of the course. The following will be required for processing your Visa:
    • Pre-Acceptance Letter from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham/ Admission Letter
This document should be attached with the student’s Visa application. This letter is provided either by the Registrar of the institution or by the institution where he or she has been admitted/accepted for the program. The letter will be provided by Amrita.
    • Copy of the Nationality / Citizenship Certificate / Identity Proof
This document may be required at the time of processing the Visa and during registration in the Foreign Registration Office in India on arrival.
    • Address Proof in Home Country if Different from Passport
It is possible that an individual may have changed his or her address after obtaining the passport. In that case, this document is required when applying for the Visa and during registration in Foreign Registration Office in India.
    • Copy of Birth Certificate/ Proof of Age (if applicable)
This may be required at the time of processing the Visa and during registration in the Foreign Registration Office on arrival. However, a copy of your passport is usually enough to register at the Foreign Registration Office in India.
    • Proof of Fee Remittance (where applicable)
This document is required when applying for the Visa. If no fees are charged by the Host institution then a letter from the institution/copy of the MoU is to be attached along with the Visa application.
