A Learning & Humanitarian Platform
Live-in-Labs® is a platform where both learning and humanitarian activities take place- a place where student can practically apply learned ethos and live as one among a community. Otherwise, what is the power of youth if it cannot be channeled towards the development of the country. The Live-in-Labs programs gives youth this opportunity to engage in service to society. This is an experience i will cherish for a very long time.

We got to know more about the procedure and prerequisit for our proposed solution/project. And letting us know more about the tools which come in handy during the process, to make things more basic and detailed.

Live-in-Labs® - Co-design & PM Workshop Feedback
Today Session was very helpful for us. We got a clear cut idea about the co-design stage. Without this session we will have really felt difficult in the village. This session will bridge the gap between us and the villagers.

Technical Social Aspects in Every Project
The Amrita Live-in-Labs program is very special to me as there is more interaction with rural communities because of the live-in factor. Therefore students are more exposed to know and feel the everyday hardship of the common man in India. Furthermore, our approach to project has both technical and social aspects. Through this approach my students and i have learned qualities from villagers such as greater acceptance, oppenes and hospitality which made our experience working with them very memorable..

Live-in-Labs® - Co-design & PM Workshop Feedback
Co-design and PM sessions were very elaborative. After attending the session we got a brief idea regarding decision-making, design, information sharing and project planning. We also understood that co-design is an approach to design attempting to actively involve all users in the design process to help ensure the result meets their needs and is usable. Some of the tools which we learnt during the co-design session are recruitment process, planning, procurement of necessary material, mind mapping, role play, story telling, group sketching, character profiles, modelling, rough prototyping and journey mapping. We also learnt that these tools have vital role to play in the final solution, if used properly. PM session was elaborative and illustrative as well. We learnt that a project if managed properly can deliver services to users with better efficiency which is very important and we also get a proper risk assessment which in turn helps in improving the quality of the project.
