Asst Professor for Quantum Theory (Computing) and Quantum Measurement

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (University), a leading private university in South India has decided to develop research and teaching program in the fast emerging area of quantum materials and technology. As a first step we are going to recruit two Assistant Professors in this area: One in experiment and one in theory/computing. Both faculty members will be formally inducted in the School of Computing.

The candidate should have Ph D in a relevant subject (Computer Science/Mathematics/Physics) in Tier-1 University/Institute in India and at least two years Post-doctoral experience in Tier-1 and University/Institute in India or in abroad. The candidate will be given preferences whose Ph D thesis topic was related to either Quantum computation/information theory or theoretical study of Quantum Materials.

The successful candidate will be offered 7th Pay-commission salary and given generous start-up grant to set up her/his laboratory. In addition, candidates will also be expected to raise their own funds by writing projects to National and International funding agencies. They successful candidate will be placed at Amritapuri Campus of this university
